You will still have the image as your background when you leave, and the star icon will now be colored. If you want to stop using the animal filters, tap on the X located right above the thumbnails. Choose the image you want to use, and it’ll be uploaded and used instantly as your new background. Simply tap on the plus option that’s located right before the background options. You can also upload a picture from your device’s gallery to use as a background. You need to be looking at the camera when you choose the new filter, or else it won’t be applied. The app will skip all the previous options and show you all the filters you can use. If swiping left takes too long, you can also tap on the filters option all the way to the right. Swipe left for various background options such as books, a beach, mountains, sky, and many more. The first effects you can try are to blur your background. In your video thumbnail box, you’ll see icons that look like stars.Īfter you tap on the option, you’ll be taken to the Effects section. Make sure that you start the meeting with the camera-enabled. You can go for a scheduled meeting or start an instant meeting. So to start using the filters, start a Google Meet meeting as your normally would.
